Values

Values are the things we treasure; they are the things that are important to us. We all have them, they are intrinsic to who we are and exert tremendous influence on us; controlling the manner in which we do things. They are for the most part hidden in the structure of our lives and fellowships, but invade every aspect of our personal life and ministry. Our values find expression in and through our priorities and practices, shaping the philosophy of “HOW” we live out our purpose

We believe it is just as, if not more, important that we operate with the right values than have right goals and vision. Sometimes we can have the right goals and vision and not have correct values. When this happens we can value and become committed to the goal, or the image of the success of the goal, more than values and in turn justify any means to accomplish the goal.

If we are to have God’s favor and blessings upon us it is extremely vital that we not only have the right purposes and goals but that that we function and operate according to His Kingdom value system.

Worship
We value Spirit-enabled worship that ministers to and touches the heart of God and intimately connects us to the Father and in turn invites Him to walk among us creating a dynamic and life changing environment that transforms, encourages strengthens, heals, envisions, and unifies us.

The Word
We value the written, divinely inspired Scriptures as our ultimate, infallible rule of faith and practice, and by them we grow in truth and power.

It is relevant for today; we desire to hear the word taught in practical inspired way and for it to become the foundation for all areas of our lives and ministries.

Pursuit of Christ and His Kingdom
We aim to move in the signs of the present fulfillment of the kingdom, invoking the Spirit’s powerful presence, ministering through the Spirit’s gifts, and seeing God heal and work wonders.

Grace and Mercy
We believe that grace and mercy is fundamental to all that God does in salvation. We, therefore, purpose to extend grace and mercy to one another and to all to whom we minister, and to avoid using guilt, manipulation, hype, or emotionalism to conform people to act or think a particular way.

We purpose to provide an environment of acceptance/mercy where people are free to make mistakes and risk-taking is encouraged. In our personal and corporate life we are in pursuit of freedom and stand opposed to “Grace Killers”, like legalism, traditionalism, competition, perfectionism, control and domination, pride, resentment, unforgiving spirit, guilt, shame, etc

Simplicity, Honesty, and Genuineness
It is important for us to speak the truth, deal honestly, and being real and authentic, steering away from hypocrisy and phoniness. We will avoid acting religious and wish to do nothing for “religious effect” but rather to operate in natural low-key, non-hype patterns.

Reality
We value reality. We aim to walk in the Spirit and see real supernatural works of God. We aim also to function on the natural plan based on God’s leading in conjunction with excellent and relational thinking.

Community (Koinonia)
We are purposed to be a house of friends, a place where real intimate friendships are built on kingdom principles of love, mutual responsibility, honoring and faithfulness, a sense of belonging to God’s household not just membership, honesty, openness and transparency, deferring to and preferring one another, accountability; bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging and serving one another.

Risk Taking
Is an expression of our faith as we minister to others and obey the Lord. We understand that there will be mistakes and failures along the way, but the only true failure is never to have tried. In an environment of acceptance, grace and mercy, risk-taking is encouraged.

Culturally Current
We desire to present the unchanging, timeless gospel in a form that is relevant to this generation/culture.
